# Connect your agent

> Connect Meta Muse, Grok Bot, OpenClaw, Claude Code, Hermes, Claude Desktop, Antigravity or Codex to Agent Vault in about 2 minutes.

Pick your agent and connect it to Agent Vault in about 2 minutes. Every agent on
this page adds the hosted Agent Vault MCP server, and you sign in once in your
browser. There is no API key to copy and nothing to install. Not listed? See
[Another agent](#another-agent).

## The fastest way: paste one line

Most agents can set themselves up. Paste this line into your agent:

```text theme={null}
Read https://mcp.agentvault.io/skill.md and follow it to connect Agent Vault.
```

Your agent reads that file, adds the server, and tells you when to sign in. Two
agents differ:

* **Meta Muse** needs one more sentence, saying sign-in needs no client ID or
  secret. The full line is on [its page](/agents/meta-muse).
* **Claude Desktop** can't add a connector from a chat. Its page has the steps
  for its settings instead.

The same line is on your dashboard. On **Overview**, open **Connect another
agent** and pick your agent in **Your agent framework**.

## How each agent connects

| Agent | Kind | How the server is added | How you sign in |
| - | - | - | - |
| [Meta Muse](/agents/meta-muse) | Chat app | A request in the chat | The sign-in link in the chat |
| [Grok Bot](/agents/grok-bot) | Chat app | A request in the chat | The **Authorize** card in the chat |
| [OpenClaw](/agents/openclaw) | Agent runtime | `openclaw mcp set` | `openclaw mcp login` |
| [Claude Code](/agents/claude-code) | Coding agent | `claude mcp add` | `/mcp` in Claude Code |
| [Hermes](/agents/hermes) | Agent runtime | `hermes mcp add` | `hermes mcp login` |
| [Claude Desktop](/agents/claude-desktop) | Desktop app | **Settings → Connectors** | **Connect** in its Connectors list |
| [Antigravity](/agents/antigravity) | Desktop agent | `~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json` | **Authenticate** in its settings |
| [Codex](/agents/codex) | CLI agent | `codex mcp add` | Sign-in starts by itself after the add |

## What you need first

* **An Agent Vault account**, with a card if your agent will check out. New
  here? The [Quickstart](/get-started/quickstart#set-up-your-vault-about-5-minutes)
  sets one up in about 5 minutes.
* **The server address**, if you add the server by hand:

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.agentvault.io/mcp
```

## After you connect

A new connection starts with nothing granted. After you sign in:

1. Ask your agent to call `get_token_catalog`. That first call creates the
   connection on **Connected apps**. It is refused until you choose access.
2. Under **Vault**, click **Connected apps**, then **Choose access** on the new
   row.
3. Choose which cards and saved logins the agent may use, then click **Save
   access**.

You can change or revoke that access at any time.

## Another agent

Any MCP client that supports streamable HTTP and OAuth can connect. Add a remote
MCP server with the address above, and the client finds the sign-in page from
it.

If your agent can't use a remote server, run the local MCP server with an API
key instead. See [MCP setup](/mcp/setup).
